Tattoo Your Banana (for School Lunchboxes)

Now before I start, can I just say that “Tattoo Your Banana” was going to be my absolute favouritist (yes that’s a word) blog title ever! But the more I looked at it the more odd it looked, so I had to add a few words to try to make it have some kind of meaning!

So back to the topic!

Our school has fruit break every morning. There is a little basket inside the classroom which holds each child’s fruit – most come in containers, but there are always a few bananas (I LOVE bananas and mandarins because they have such great self-packaging for fruit baskets!)

But how does your child know which banana is theirs? Yes of course you can write on it with a boring black Texta OR you can do something magical, amazing and super-special! So what’s it to be? Yes, I thought so – let’s continue!

Simply take your banana and a toothpick.

Prick tiny holes in the banana skin to spell out your child’s name.

As the banana ripens, your child’s name will slowly and mysteriously appear!

Now there’s no mistaking who these ‘nanas belong to!!

You could even send a little love note, or draw a little picture if you’re clever enough!
