Katy Perry’s new film, Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D – has been released on the 2nd July. And I think this might actually be the first non-animated film that I take Maddy to!
We are huge Katy Perry fans – the girls love her colour and her energy! Whether it’s in her music-video clips, or interviews, Katy comes across as your best friend that you haven’t met yet. She’s happy, positive and is often talking about embracing the moment.
When her song Firework comes on the radio while we’re in the car, the awesome foursome sing along at the top of their voices – even Lucy joins in with the oh-oh-oh!
I can’t wait to see the movie and learn a little more about the person behind the pop star. I know she had a very strict upbringing, and I am interested to see how this has shaped who she is today. What drives her to constantly deliver performances that appeal to the millions of people on so many levels?
It’s no secret that she has faced some demons in her life but she has always carried on with a grace and dignity that is so rarely seen in this industry – always positive, always looking forward to a exciting and happy future.
So these school holidays we’ll be having a bit of a Katy Perry day. (We might even throw on a blue wig to celebrate the occasion!). It’s a bit exciting that Maddy and I are BOTH looking forward to seeing a movie that we can enjoy together.

I would love to take my eldest daughter to this. She and I could do with some one on one time

I would love to see this movie because Katy Perry is so inspirational for all women young and old, I live that she doesn’t aspire ro be like other people but to be the greatest person she can be! I would take me sister she is 12 years old and it is a time in your life were good role models are important!
