La Zuppa Soup What’s Your Flavour? – Giveaway
Jul 21
** This giveaway has now closed. Congratulations to the winner – Michelle Vamvas! **
There is nothing better than a nice hot bowl of soup. And Winter is certainly the perfect time to appreciate it! Who can resist a thick and hearty soup chock-full of vegetables? Or maybe a smooth and creamy flavour is more your cup of tea. Team it with a hunk of crusty bread and a dab of butter and I am blissfully content!
So I love to experiment with soup flavours. I’ll try anything and everything, and love discovering a new flavour to try. The kids are usually pretty good with new flavours, I find that if I just add in a bit of cooked pasta shells or stir through some risoni, I can adjust the texture to suit their fussiness! (I tried to give Lucy a bowl of soup with a spoon so she could feed herself – not pretty! Her soup now gets plenty of pasta or rice!).
So one of our favourites at the moment is Chicken Chowder. It has a beautiful creamy taste, but only uses milk so it’s nice and light. Full of chicken and mushrooms, and some leeks for flavour, there is also a secret ingredient or two which really makes it something special.
