12WBT Pre-Season Link Up – The Beginning
Feb 07
So here I am again. It hardly seems like any time has passed since I wrote this post – a review about my journey on the Michelle Bridges 12Week Body Transformation program. But of course time has passed, and here I am.
I am not proud to say that I am back at my starting weight of where I was when I first signed up for the program.
I have no excuses. I got lazy. I was faced with an incredibly busy and stressful time at the end of last year, and all the habits I had formed, the lessons I had learned, flew out the window. I took the easy options when I should have should have been choosing the better options. I could feel it happening. I felt myself losing control. And then Christmas happened. And that, as they say, was that.
So here I am. I have signed up for Round 1 2012 of the 12 Week Body Transformation.
But things are a little different this time. I haven’t reached any point of despair with my weight. I don’t HATE what I see when I look in the mirror. But I do know that something has to change. At the start of the year I made some observations about what my life would be like in 2012. One of those promises was that I would respect my body – the very body that produced 4 beautiful and healthy children. The same body that my children snuggle up to every day, the body that runs around playing horsey and tigers, the body that makes footprints on the beach and splashes in the ocean, and jumps on the trampoline. I need this body to be a fit and strong body because I deserve it. And my children deserve it.

I have no delusions. There is nothing glamorous about embarking on a journey like this. It is sheer bloody hard work. It takes exceptional commitment and determination. I need the support of my husband, my children, my friends and family. I need to be able to share some High-5s when I achieve small goals, and I need to be able to share the tough times when it feels a little overwhelming.
Kate from Kate Says Stuff and I will be hosting a Blog Hop every Friday – from now it shall be referred to as Fitness Friday! If you are blogging about your journey, we invite you to be a part of this Linky party and share the 12WBT spirit – supporting each other every step of the way.
