There has got to be a better way to spend our time than spending hours and hours cleaning and scrubbing.

Hands up who loves having a clean and hygienic home???

Ah yes – see the dilemma! We want our home to be clean, smell fresh, and look great, but we’d really love it if it were easy, and more importantly safe for our family and our environment.

I agreed to trial the Dettol Power and Pure range and was issued with a challenge – to clean two areas of my home with the Kitchen and Bathroom formats, and show some before and after photos of my efforts. Being the brave woman that I am, I accepted their challenge!! If there was ever an area of my kitchen that needed to be cleaned, then it was under the sink. The forgotten cupboard. It has been used to store anything and everything; it is a brave woman who dares to discover what lies beneath. Are you ready to see what I was up against. Oh my lord, right? The thing is – once I accept a challenge, then I have to go for it, with all guns blazing. I emptied the entire cupboard and found a lovely collection of grease, grime, dust, dirt, and possibly the remains of one or two dead cockroaches. The Dettol Power & Pure Multipurpose Spray for the Kitchen with an Oxygen Splash fragrance made short work of everything in it’s path – and it smelled clean (not overpowering, just clean!) Soon enough, I had a clean and blank canvas – ready to start afresh.

I de-cluttered all my bottles, and other junk, and sorted what was left into groups – adding baskets for dishwashing tablets, soaps, and sponges.

After just 30 minutes of work, I now feel like I have a brand new cupboard. I know where everything is, and there is nothing slimy or scungy hiding at the back of the cupboard. Thanks to Dettol, I also know that 99.9% of germs (such as E.coli & Salmonella) have also been killed . Ta-dahhhh!

So I was on a  bit of a roll by then. Next stop – bathroom. I had guests due in 10 minutes – but the bathroom was in typical school holiday mode – messy, dirty and smelly!

The Power & Pure Bathroom spray is ideal for removing tough soap scum and is available in Fresh Mountain Spring Fragrance. With a few squirts, I was already seeing some fantastic results.

After 5 minutes, the bathroom looked great and smelt AH-MAZING!
